Wild Ones in the Midst- by North Carolina Painter, Sue Scoggins

SO, I've always got flowers on my mind. They just seem to be God's "pick-me-up".  These beautiful wildflowers bloom every year along the roadside at the base of the Emerald Isle bridge.  Not showing in the image is the surrounding coastal waters.  This 30x40 on gallery wrapped canvas is still a work in progress.    Will keep you posted.

This was a fun one for the islands around Emerald Isle and the outer banks. Always color popping out somewhere.  Love living here.

Country Music, a Sunny Day and INKS - by North Carolina painter, Sue Scoggins

It's a sunny day and I'm bebopping to country music and pouring liquid inks across a canvas to see what happens.  This will be the underpainting of some sort of water landscape.  Stay tuned.

View From the Window

Santa Barbara has been my home for the last few days while I’ve been taking a studio
painting workshop with Fauvist Painter Kathleen Elsey.  This is a work in progress and A LOT harder
to do than I thought it would be.  Keep posted for the final result.

Streets of Southport, colorful original oil of north carolina coast landscape by Susan Scoggins

It was an unbelievable time in Southport. Water was calm, houses were pristine white as they bathed in the bright spring sun. I set up my easel, loaded one canvas with paint, then loaded another and another. The delicious colors were fresh and simply irresistible.

16x20 original oil on canvas.  Free shipping.
