SUNNY'S FAVORITE PERCH - a Yellow BIrd painting by North Carolina Painter Sue Scoggins

Before I begin, 25 of your offered names for the last three yellow bird paintings.  SO, honored that you took the time to offer suggestions.  There were so many great names!  Thank you.

When I heard the name for the bird, I immediately took heart.  SUNNY!  So, with that in mind, here are the names of each painting.  The first painting is the newest Yellowbird painting.

As for the unpicked names?  Well.....they will be waiting in the wings for their own painting.
Thank you and have a SUNNY day!

Green Glass Progress

A while back I was connecting in the DFW airport and spent a little time in the Hyatt lobby.  As I ran through the lounge area I saw this fabulous display of green glass and orchids with the light shining in  the windows.  I couldn't help but capture it.

This painting has sold three times and is now a new commission.  I thought it would be fun to share the progress.

Just a little tweaking yet to do.

Green Glass and Orchids, original oil floral by Susan Scoggins

Today, I was chomping at the bits to do some painting.  Over the weekend, my daughter and one of my grandsons (I have five!) came down to hang out with me.  Needless to say, we had our time filled with chasing the deer, riding bikes, and reading books.  I love it when my “boys” come to see me.

But, this morning, I was ready to put the brush to canvas.  For quite some time, I’ve enjoyed flowers.  Flowers in the window, flowers on the table, flowers in the garden.  So, here you go....
