THE LITTLE ART GALLERY - now representing North Carolina Painter Sue Scoggins

I am so humbled and EXCITED to now be represented by The Little Art Gallery in Cameron Village, Raleigh, North Carolina.  These dancers have danced their way over to the gallery.

Wild florals like these will be arriving by the end of the month.  I'd better get painting.

It took a while to get back in the groove after Thanksgiving break, but this artichoke is ready for the restaurant.  All we need now is a few herbs and some butter.

Time for Tulips, original abstract floral by North Carolina Painter, Susan Scoggins

I have been feverishly painting for an upcoming fundraiser to benefit the North Carolina Alzheimer's Association.  My husband, Jerry, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer disease at the age of 50.  That was when our world came to an end.....or so we thought!  This disease has brought many deep rewards in the midst of incredible pain.

One of the joys is my passion to create and capture all that is good.

Please join my in helping to stop Alzheimers...now and for future generations.

Pop In Stance, colorful original floral by Susan Scoggins

Oh man! “Good day, sunshine” ba ba ba ba..”Good day, sunshine”. Can you guess the song? Hint: the Beatles.
Anyway, it’s all sunshiny outside and I am loving it. Can’t help but paint some posies. I see the first signs of spring and I refuse to acknowledge that there could still be a few remnants of winter left. NO! NO! No telling what kind of flowers these are...but you get the picture.

Green Glass and Orchids, original oil floral by Susan Scoggins

Today, I was chomping at the bits to do some painting.  Over the weekend, my daughter and one of my grandsons (I have five!) came down to hang out with me.  Needless to say, we had our time filled with chasing the deer, riding bikes, and reading books.  I love it when my “boys” come to see me.

But, this morning, I was ready to put the brush to canvas.  For quite some time, I’ve enjoyed flowers.  Flowers in the window, flowers on the table, flowers in the garden.  So, here you go....
