Lipstick, colorful, playlike original oil by Susan Scoggins

A few days ago, a friend asked me to come down to visit her in Southport.  This is the cutest little town filled with historic houses sitting on the edge of the mouth of the Cape Fear River.  It’s as if you stepped back in time with all the 100 year old oak lined streets, white picket fences and front porches.

While we were there we decided to have a paint fest.  The first day was a bit cloudy so we set up “shop” on her kitchen counter.  Hmm.  What to paint?  We gathered everything we could fine that we thought would make a good still life.  What better than a hand full of lipsticks, a blue coffee mug, and a bottle of Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur. ....a gold mine of subject matter....and a great and frivolously fun day.

Lipstick. Original oil on canvas. 4x12 gallery wrapped, ready to hang. Free shipping.
