Some Volunteer Time - Charlotte's Web celebration at St. David's School by Sue Scoggins

Ok....so there has to be a little fun for the grandkids.  It was time for the second grade county fair at my grandson, Fletcher's, school.  The theme was Charlotte's Web.  YES!  This was my rendition of the cover of the Charlotte's Web movie jacket. Wilber and Charlotte!   Hey!  It was for a good cause.  Little ones need to see the value of a mammie who paints.

Green Glass Progress

A while back I was connecting in the DFW airport and spent a little time in the Hyatt lobby.  As I ran through the lounge area I saw this fabulous display of green glass and orchids with the light shining in  the windows.  I couldn't help but capture it.

This painting has sold three times and is now a new commission.  I thought it would be fun to share the progress.

Just a little tweaking yet to do.

Stampede

Into the night, I've been painting these horses.  Not finished, but getting there.  The one if the front looks a little weak, while the one in the rear looks a bit strong.  Hmmm.  We'll see where it goes from here.  Stampede.  24x48  oil.
