Life and Times of an Artist

For days now, I've been feverishly preparing for the Parade of Homes Tour in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Eighteen paintings.  Many large mantel pieces.  Here I am putting the varnish finish on several smaller ones.  Wiring.  Framing.  Details.  Details.

Ok.  Here I am...back to blogging after taking about a year off...don't know what happened.  I suppose I had my hands wrapped around brushes instead of typing on my MAC.  This time I hope to do a better job.  I might even try to post a video or two.  With that said.....here goes my first post.

There are so many things to paint.  I can hardly stand it...but in the spring and fall the wildflowers  along the highways are magnificent! ( courtesy of the NCDOT Wildflower program)  Those images and colors get stuck in my head and just have to come out.
